STANDOUT SESSIONS

The whole trip blurred into a standout session ticking all the boxes - long hollow lefts, right slabs, perfect A-frames and some of the best fishing we have seen this year. Everyone got their fix.

Standout session was “standout day” - Jamie and Keiren going back-to-back by themselves tube for tube while the goofys were getting their own tubes a few hundred meters down the coast. What a day!

Wave of the trip

With having all three Perrow brothers onboard you can only imagine the competition that comes with the title of wave of the trip (WOT).

Moon Child had an early entry with a no-grab backhand tube but a few days later in true KP fashion, the older brother of the three scored his WOT and best of all it was in front of Jamie. You could even here Jamie yell “THAT’S WAVE OF THE TRIP!” as he watched KP standing tall on a very dreamy morning.

The boys brought some chaos with pre-existing injuries, but it was never enough to bring down the vibes, and Doctor Bintang was always at the ready!

There were a few days out of the water for some while the perfect waves rolled through, but the next best thing to getting tubed is watching your mates get tubed.

Stories from the old to the recent keeping the laughter flowing and plenty of nighttime antics. It was impossible to let a few injuries dampen this trip.

With the request of more Indonesian food prior departure, Chef Situ’s Indonesian buffets and Indonesian curries were the major hit.

With a few keen fishermen and wounded soldiers, we opted for a few fishing afternoons in Foxy Lady targeting some sea mountains to the west.

Over the years we haven’t had much luck out there, but it was ON this trip with a 100% success rate and some memorable moments with plenty of wahoo and dogtooth tuna taking the lures.

Tubes and great fishing on the same day is exactly what you sign up for when Jumping on the Mighty Mango.
