Last day vibes
Browny and the lads from the NSW Central Coast return to The Mighty Mango to chase fun right handers in the north and brought a new team member to the party…

Conditions/Forecast
Starry nights and windless days were a perfect combination creating flawless conditions 24/7 in the Sumatran Islands to kick off May. The best weather we have had this year.
Plenty of swell on the forecast with a good start and solid finish and finding plenty of fun on the swell magnets when Huey was having a breather.
STANDOUT SESSIONS
With different preferences for wave types, we found ourselves splitting up the group with plenty of Foxy Lady missions and every day the stoke across the boat was real. It was a standout session from the Bat’n’Arrow to the day we dropped anchor back in Padang two weeks later.
A few of the lads opted for a slab one day and for Browny, Jimmy and Horgy that was their standout session. The group all surfed a playful left together which was so fun, and the epic afternoons fishing out wide will be well remembered.
Wave of the trip IMAGE
“These are the best waves we have had since the last Mango trip”
When everyone is getting their best waves since the last trip, we guess everyone deserves wave of the trip and the fact we can’t photograph the right slab due to anchorage. This trip’s ‘wave of the trip’ is a beautiful empty that rolled through on our last day. Always nice to start and finish a trip with solo and hollow waves.
The group / Personalities
Always a charter to look forward to this one. The shenanigans start before departure and continually flow to the end of the two-week charter.
Every day one or several will be providing entertainment in and out of the water and the “good old days” stories have everyone in stitches when it comes to afternoon beer deck sessions.
This year a new member joined the trip Steve “Youngy” and was such an great addition - the world’s most positive man.
“I think that was the best day of my life”

Food
Every meal was a hit but when you have quality fresh fish it’s hard to beat. Chef Situ’s famous beer battered fish, homemade chips and tartar sauce. Gourmet fish ‘n’ chips Mango style!
Fish on
The percentage rate of strike to time trolling wasn’t very good, but the percentage of good times we had on Foxy Lady doing it was 100%. Two afternoons we did have success with some A-grade fish caught.
