MONKEY BRAIN IS REAL

THE ROMPER STOMPERS RETURN

There’s something special about having your old man and some close family friends onboard - truly making memories that will be revisited for a lifetime.

The waves? We got exactly what we wanted - fun sized, plenty of variety, mainly empty, nothing too stressful. Just the way the Romper Stompers like it!

There was a questionable cocktail created - “Rumtangs”. Some questionable gaffing, and some very questionable late night shenanigans.

All in all, It was loose, loud, and a lot of fun.

THE MONKEY BRAIN IS REAL

After a few days in Mentawai, the request to head north to the Romper Stompers’ beloved Monkeys break was unanimous.

A few new recruits to the team didn’t understand what the hype was about but after their first taste, they understood.

The brainwash of super fun non-stop rolling right handers had got them - The Monkey Brain!

THE TSETSE FLY SCARE

Mal (aka Squid Man) took out honours in the World Sleep League. He was horizontal more than not, so Stevo decided to stir the pot: “Mal’s been bitten by the Tsetse fly.”

Tsetse fly can give you sleeping sickness but are NOT found in Indonesia. After a few minutes on ChatGPT a fake Tsetse fly Health Warning for Indonesia was produced and shared on the boys’ group Chat.

Mal swore he knew it was a fake from the boys, but later that myth was busted – phone history revealed he had been quietly researching Tsetse fly symptoms. Hilarious!

KEEP IT LOCAL

With calls for more Indonesian food this year, chef Situ went full throttle. He was right at home cooking his tradition dishes with the Chef Situ flare. Nasi goreng, Situ’s famous curries and of course, his rendang were among the favourites.

FISHING….OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT

The Foxy Lady saw action most afternoons, allegedly for fishing. Whatever you want to call it - a few hours daily spent trolling around with an esky full of ice-cold beers and very little to show for it in the end.

There were a few “fishing” moments here and there - a nice doggy, a worthy GT, a stinky barracuda, but the lasting memories will be just enjoying each other’s company and having a laugh as the incredible sunsets lit up the western sky each afternoon.

TRIP RECAP

Special Thanks

To the Romper Stompers for locking in the Mango year after year.

The crew – best in the game.

Cheers, Uncle Lip.
