Please find below (3) important lots of information due to Covid-19 (Coronavirus)
1. We Have An Offical Amendment To Our Booking/Cancellation Policy
- Please note, this is an amendment to Mangalui booking/cancellation policy in our terms and conditions, offered to all bookings (current and new) and will remain in place at this stage until June 30 2020. At which time, on or before this date, we will re-issue a statement regarding the coronavirus.
- We will extend your credit to a future date if your country of residence issues a travel warning of “Do not travel” (or equivalent) to Indonesia, or your flight is cancelled and alternatives are not available or you will be government-enforced quarantined when returning home.
- The holiday credit may be redeemed anytime up to 6 months from the date that it is confirmed we are no longer significantly impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19), which should be clearly stated by the World Health organisation and government travel restrictions eased.
2. Current Enquiry Response Times May Be Affected.
Due to the Coronavirus our offices will be open Monday, Wednesday and Friday at this current time, so please expect some short delays with response to your enquiry. Please see the link below for all updated information with the Coronavirus and how this may impact current and future bookings.
3. Our Mangalui Covid-19 Response
As the spread of COVID-19 continues to impose its devastating impact on everyone’s lives, Mangalui Ndulu is doing what it can to protect the health, wellbeing and safety of our guests, employees and all our families during this challenging time.
We are working with our booked Mangalui guests to re-schedule immediate future travel plans as painlessly as possible. The personal and financial impact that the current situation is having on everyone is severe (Mangalui included). We really appreciate the support and understanding we are receiving from our booked guests. Thank you very much.
As of last week, Indonesia has joined most other countries and begun the ‘lockdown’ procedures of its borders. Over the next few months, Deb and the reservations team will continue to work to facilitate necessary date amendments and future travel credits. Please understand that everyone’s bookings will be rescheduled to a future date. As per the terms and conditions on our website, there will be no reimbursements of payments for cancelled holidays. All credits will be held in trust and your surfing trip transferred to a future date. To be fair this needs to be strictly adhered to across the board.
We are continuously monitoring the situation as it evolves. Our current focus is on those bookings immediately affected over the coming months of April, May, June and July this year. For those Mangalui guests with departure dates from early August 2020 onwards, your patience is greatly appreciated for now, we will get back to you as quickly as possible and address any queries or concerns regarding the status of your trip or requests to amend dates.
The current total disruption to overseas travel from Australia and elsewhere will eventually end, hopefully sooner rather than later. We will then be able to resume on our mission of ‘Sharing the Stoke of surfing’ with all of our extended family and friends. We look forward to getting tubed with you again very soon.
We also think it seems inappropriate right now to be sending out our weekly newsletter updates and the surf reports, hence, we will slow down the frequency of our regular email contact over the next couple of months, including our social media presence. In the meantime please feel welcome to visit our website at

Yours sincerely
